Winter Safety Tips
Dear SEA Families,
As we enjoy these last days of mild weather, we know winter is right around the corner. Please read these Cold Weather Safety Tips from the experts at safekids.org.
One important part of winter safety is preventing head injuries by selecting the right helmet for winter activities. While there are no specific helmets designed for sledding, The American Academy of Pediatrics advises that wearing a helmet is better than not wearing one. So which helmet do you choose? Here’s a handy chart from Safe Kids Grand Forks.
If your child is in need of winter gear (coat, snow pants, boots, hat, gloves), please reach out to SEA staff so we can help. We want to make sure all SEA students have what they need to make the most of winter.
Winter is a part of living in Minnesota, let's embrace it, have fun, and stay safe this winter season.
In good health,
