Attendance and Sickness

We are seeing many more sniffles and coughs throughout our building as the cold and flu season has arrived. Your child’s attendance is important to us, so is their health.  In effort to keep all students healthy we ask that you please follow our district illness policy which states:

A student should not come to school (and will be sent home from school) if they have or have had:

  • A fever of 100 degrees F (orally) or higher in the past 24 hours without fever-reducing medication
  • Vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours
  • An undiagnosed skin rash

If your child is sick or is going to be tardy or absent from school, please remember to call the school attendance line to report the reason for the absence.  If you don't report the absence, it is recorded as unexcused. After 3 unexcused absences you will automatically receive an attendance letter. To prevent this from happening, call the following number each day your child is absent. SEA Attendance Line: 763-504-7210 prior to 10am
