COVID-19 updates for the 2022-23 school year

COVID-19 updates for the 2022-23 school year

Face coverings and masks are optional across Robbinsdale Area Schools. This includes inside all schools and sites and aboard all school buses and vans, and applies to spectators and guests at district-sanctioned activities and events.

Families and staff can continue to wear face coverings and are encouraged to do so if they believe it is best for them.

Robbinsdale Area Schools will no longer ask for COVID-19 symptom reporting or for negative COVID-19 tests in order for symptomatic students to return to school. Students may attend school when they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications, symptoms are improving, and they are able to fully participate in learning.

Students and staff do need to report positive COVID-19 cases and need to complete a five-day isolation period should they test positive.

We will also no longer require household contacts to be reported. Families are encouraged to follow CDC guidance related to quarantine periods should their student be exposed to COVID-19.  We will continue to have COVID-19 tests available in the school health office.

We continue to encourage all students and staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Families can find information about how to access free vaccinations by visiting the state’s vaccine connector website.
