Robbinsdale Area Schools

At this time, pre-k through 5 students, and secondary special education center-based students, will return on Monday, Nov. 9. Our current plan is to transition middle and high school students on Tuesday, Jan. 26 based on the model that aligns with current COVID count data.

Vaccination Reminder

Our School Nurses want to remind families that students should continue to receive recommended vaccinations.

The August and September health data shows a downward trend in reported COVID-19 numbers. This means we are preparing for a potential shift in our learning model for early childhood, elementary, middle and high school students, beginning Monday, Oct. 19.

Are you Receiving School and District Updates?

Did you know Robbinsdale Area Schools uses various platforms to communicate with families? To ensure you are receiving important communications, families are encouraged to check their Infinite Campus settings. 

281 Distance Learning School Updates graphic

Nancy Froelich and Jeff Stovall have accepted positions as administrators of 281 Distance Learning School at the elementary and secondary levels, respectively. This assignment will last throughout the 2020-2021 school year; they will continue to support their current buildings.

Hotspot Requests for Families

Is your family in need of a hotspot? Our district will be providing hotspots to families who do not currently have quality internet access.

Families who prefer to not have their student(s) take the school bus to or from school (if the district is in hybrid or in-person learning) have the choice to opt-out of transportation services for the 2020-2021 school year. Opting out is completely voluntary. 

2020/2021 School Year Update

While we will begin our school year in a Distance Learning PLUS model, we will continue to prepare for hybrid or in-person learning. Due to the fluid nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the District's plan may shift throughout the year. As we continue to work with our principals and staff, we would like to share the following updates.
